A 4325 pump was installed with the prefilter backwards and a small leaf was sucked into the pump when first turned on and the noise level increased noticeably. Sections 1 and 2 (according to the manual) were cleaned of the debris. The pump is still loud relative to the first minute or so before the leaf got into the pump. Can debris material get into any other section of the pump? A side note: on section 1 there is a small plate held on with 2 screws. He was unable to remove the plate for fear of damaging the part under the plate. Could debris in this part be causing the noise issue? Thanks in advance.

It is possible for sand to make it past the check valve and interfere with the diaphragm. I would recommend replacing the diaphragm part# 20403-040 or rebuilding the entire unit part# 20409-043
